A flexible global telemetry and IoT solution that enables instant custom remote monitoring and automation anywhere
Automation using the internet of things (IoT) is changing the way the world works, but for those who work in regional Australia, connecting to the internet is a challenge because three quarters of Australia doesnt have internet coverage. To overcome this difficulty, mining and agriculture in Australia invest heavily in remote area communications. Last year spending more than $1.7 billion in telemetry hardware alone (PwC, 2018). Most of this investment was made by just a handful of the biggest businesses, such as Rio Tinto, FMGL and BHP, who are now seeing significant productivity gains in terms of reduced operating costs and improved safety as a result. These businesses overcome the communications challenge by installing fixed communications infrastructure around their mines, such as UHF radio. *This is an abstract only.
