Eco-Environmental Problems Caused by the Process of Limestone Mining and Management Options
This paper summarises the information about current state of eco-environmental problems, geological disaster and mining waste causing during the process of limestone mining. By comparing the management experiences of limestone mines in other countries, management problems in China have been discussed and improved management options have been proposed here. These options include: accelerating the process of legislation, promoting and strengthening environmental impact assessment for limestone mine, and increasing compensation requirements according to the local eco-environment conditions.CITATION :Wang, B L, Qiu, X X, Qiu, X, Zhang, T and Du, Y H, 2012.
