Delivery of effective plant shutdowns is primary to the business success of mining and processing plant operations. This paper sets out a methodology that starts with understanding the business objectives of the shutdown and promotes rigorous detailed planning, effective communication, appropriate governance and effective participation of plant operations personnel.
