The key issues in the conceptualisation and testing of treatment options for gold and base metals mineral processing projects are discussed. A prerequisite of this process is the need for close interaction between geologists, mining engineers and metallurgists to facilitate an understanding of the orebody based on the parameters impacting on each discipline.
