Narrow Vein Mining Conference 2012
The theme for the AusIMM Narrow Vein Mining Conference 2012 was 'working
smarter through technical collaboration'. The conference brought together those
involved in narrow vein mining, including: geologists, mining and geotechnical
engineers and metallurgists. Twenty six multi-disciplinary papers were presented
covering geology and exploration, geotechnical engineering, mining and new
technologies. Case studies included: operations and technology in Australia,
Canada, Ghana, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania and the UK.
