HoistEM - A New Airborne Electromagnetic System
HoistEM is a helicopter-towed time domain electromagnetic system. This paper presents details of the towed array structure (the Hoist) as well as a description of the instrumentation._x000D_
A comparison between HoistEM and ground TDEM (from which HoistEM was derived) is given._x000D_
Over 50 000 line kilometres of HoistEM have been completed to date and datasets for structural mapping, nickel, base metals, manganese, ground water and bathymetry are presented and discussed.
