Supergene Dispersion of Antimony and a Geochemical Exploration Model for Antimony Ore Deposits
Many of the world's stibnite deposits are found in orogenic zones and are mesothermal or epithermal in origin. They commonly occur near contacts between intrusives and metasediments. However, the spatial extent of anomalous Sb levels around such deposits is not well documented. This project has aimed to gain a better understanding of the mineralogy and geochemistry of Sb by deriving solubility and thermochemical data for some of the most common secondary Sb minerals. This has then been applied in field exploration for Sb ore deposits._x000D_
