The Second International Future Mining Conference 2011
proceedings addresses current and prospective innovations in mining - some
lessons and opportunities that could be transferred from other industries to
implement new scientific and technological developments into the mining
industry; society engagement of mining industry; human resources strategies to
face future mining challenges; and directions and strategies of mining education
and research. The volume also aims to identify some possible scenarios of
Mining in the Future' and provides a picture of the global mining industry in
2025 and beyond.
