The Development of Instrumentation and its Impact on the Mineral Processing Industry
The origins of instrument application in the Mineral Industry are discussed. Development of measurement techniques pertinent to the industry is described as is the early application of mini-computers. The current application of microprocessor based equipment and the benefits obtained from this range of equipment are discussed. A speculative opinion as to what future instrument development may offer the industry is outlined.
