Dissolution of Sphalerite by Aeration in Copper and Glass Vessels
Zinc enters into solution on aeration of sphalerite in deionised water. It has been observed that less zinc dissolves in a copper vessel than when the same operation is carried out in a glass vessel of similar shape and size.
