The Influence of Inertisation Techniques on Gas Interpretation
Underground coal mines in Australia have embraced the use of various inertisation techniques both proactively and reactively. The use of such techniques can have a significant influence on ratios and trends used to monitor the status of the underground environment. Whilst control strategies should never be ignored in favour of preserving the integrity of ratios, the influence and significance of the changes likely to be seen should be anticipated and understood for reliable interpretation of the situation. This paper looks at the influence inertisation techniques can have on results and subsequent interpretation.CITATION:Brady, D M, 2013.
