"In 2020 Ed Dawson delivered a webinar entitled ‘Commissioning Doesn’t Start when the Plant is Built’.  In this presentation Ed outlined the principles of plant commission.  He also provided examples of issues that had occurred during commissioning of various projects to highlight the principles outlined.

In the weeks following this presentation Ed received numerous comments from former construction and commissioning colleagues regarding some of the matters discussed and some omitted.

In this second presentation Ed will address some of the matters arising from the 2020 webinar and make comment on contractual and organisation matters to be considered by Project Managers that can impact the start-up of new facilities.
