Safety leadership is everyone’s responsibility – including yours

“You've gotta know all the people around you. As a supervisor, you gotta know your work crew as mates. You gotta know your mates because you need to understand if people are in the right space to go and start a shift,” said George Bauk.

“It's your own responsibility, your responsibility to the people around you, to make sure that everyone's ready for work every day."

“One of the advantages of fly in, fly out is when you're on a campsite, you're seeing people a little bit more than just their workplace. You might see them having a beer or in the mess, having dinner or in the gym. Whatever activities there are, just keep your eyes a bit wide open”
