An operation and business improvement manager specialising in mining and metal industry. 15 years experience spans across commodities: copper/lead/zinc mineral processing (1.5 mtpa ore), copper smelter and refinery (210ktpa cathode) and steel plant (1.1mtpa). Core to this is leading improvement (~$100M EBITDA) via lean principles/continuous improvement mindset

Company overview

Currently I hold the position of Manager Continuous Improvement, at Liberty Whyalla Steelworks. The Whyalla Steelworks employs ~1,600 people and produces 1.1mtpa steel. I oversee the Continuous Improvement Program that is designed to turn around profitability of the Steelworks.
